Hong Kong Dance Expo 2025

Hong Kong Dance Expo 2025, funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and sponsored by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will arrange three high-level performances for Hong Kong dancers and audiences at the Tuen Mun Town Hall Auditorium from August 7 to 9 this year.

This year, the conference specially invited outstanding works from foreign groups to perform in Hong Kong, bringing a rich and diverse international cooperation and exchange performance to Hong Kong.

Continuing the achievements of the Hong Kong Dance Expo over the years and providing dancers with a larger space for creation and performance, the Hong Kong Dance Expo 2025 will continue to reflect different themes in different forms, encourage dancers to create “medium-sized” dance programs, and enhance the performance effect of the program through cross-sector cooperation with music and drama. The program must be applied by the dancers, and after being selected by the expert panel, the Hong Kong Dance Expo Preparatory Committee will make a commission. The commissioned will receive production subsidy support, and the conference will provide an expert panel as a consultant to cooperate with the packaging of music, stage design, and lighting to help improve the production and performance level of the work.

At the same time, the conference has a variety of “sketch” programs (new compilations are encouraged) and a creation and performance platform has been established. The overall program is larger in scale, more distinctive and more creative, and together we will create a dance festival that belongs to all Hong Kong people.
